Stop #1: FREEDOM - It's better in a union! Join IUPAT DC 51 at the Saffo Job Site to call out the fairness our unions bring to the workplace & our communities.
When: 8:30 a.m. Where: Saffo Job Site (take I-95 N to exit 54, the rally site is near the intersection of Tidewater Street & Mission Blvd.; and approximately 1 block from the Baltimore Cruise Terminal)
Stop #2: FAIRNESS - Stand with UNITE-HERE 7 fighting for the freedom to exercise the right to a fair contract that prioritizes people over profits.
When: 10:30 a.m. Where: Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport 7050 Friendship Rd, Baltimore, MD 21240 (Departure Level, Inner Curb Between Door 15 & 16)
Stop #3: SECURITY - Show solidarity with federal workers & AFGE members at the Social Security Administration Headquarters.
This Labor Day, we’re taking our celebration on the road with a shuttle tour across three counties in our region. We’ll be stopping at job sites, meeting workers where they are, and lifting up the stories and strength of our union family. It’s a day to celebrate the labor movement—not from behind a podium, but alongside the people who power our communities every day.
Riding with us will be union affiliates from across the council, allies, and possibly a few elected officials who want to witness firsthand the impact of union work on the ground. The day will be full of energy, connection, and movement as we travel together in solidarity.
This year’s theme—Freedom, Fairness, and Security—reflects what we fight for on and off the job. It’s a reminder that every worker deserves dignity, every voice deserves to be heard, and every community thrives when labor is strong.
Whether you’re joining us for the full ride or meeting us along the way, we hope you’ll be part of this moving celebration of solidarity. Let’s honor our past, show up for the present, and build power for what’s next.
