About Us

The Metro Baltimore Council, one of nearly 500 AFL-CIO state and local labor councils, is a federation of unions that represents over 100 local unions made up of more than 80,000 workers across the Baltimore region. Our Council's jurisdiction covers Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Harford and Howard Counties & Baltimore City. We support Maryland working families to ensure that every worker feels safe on the job and receives the dignity, respect, and honest pay that they deserve for the work they perform.
