The endorsed candidates have a strong record of fighting for working families both through legislative acts as well as public support. As organized labor is experiencing a resurgence, the region has been at the forefront of recent workplace organizing from cultural centers, medical institutions, and institutions of higher education.
Our metropolitan area is the economic engine of the state because of the workers and their unions that call it home. As we organize and work to attain economic security for working families, our unions and partners across local governments recognize that the success of our region depends on the success of the backbone of its economy – the worker. There is no room for politicians who won’t work for working people. We will stand in solidarity and mobilize our members to support our endorsed candidates in the 2026 General Election.
The Metropolitan Baltimore Council AFL-CIO Unions represents over one hundred affiliated unions made up of close to 80,000 union members across the Baltimore region.
